HAWKER STALKER
HAWKER STALKER is an IBD2019 competition open to all attendees. It will be held on Oct 11th 2019 (7pm-9pm) in a hawker centre in Kuala Lumpur. Participants will be informed of the address 1 day before.
They will have to gather at the said spot by 6.30pm.
There is NO entry fee! However, you pay for what you eat! You will have a chance to sample hawker fare of different ethnic origins.
Individuals need to register for taking part. Fill up the form below.
A team will consist of at least 4 members. Closing Date is Sep 15th.
We will create the teams once we have all the individual entries and we do a random draw on Sept 30th 2019.
Each team will consist of roughly equal numbers of local and foreign Mensans.
Explanation
The competition is based on identifying particular hawker stalls in a particular area. 5 – 6 clues will be given. The team then proceeds to those stalls and sample food from them.
At each stall, there are two more tasks to be done. One is to take a picture of the team eating. The picture needs to have a movie theme associated with it.
The second task is to create a tagline on your eating experience based on famous quotes.
Both the picture and the tagline have to be sent via WhatsApp before the closing time.
The top 3 winners will be announced during the Gala Dinner on Saturday Oct 12th 2019.
