Little India in Brickfields, which is in close proximity to the hotel, has turned into one of the KL’s trademark tourist hotspots after being transformed into a wide street with Indian stores and restaurants. A festive atmosphere prevails in this bustling and colourful Indian enclave thanks to the beautiful arches, stretching along the side of the street, carved by artisans from India. One can shop for traditional Indian goods such as spices, flower garlands, saris and Bollywood music, to local delicacies such as thosai, vadai and many more.

Located in Petaling Street at the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown is indisputably one of the most popular tourist attractions in Malaysia, with interesting historical background. Petaling Street is better known as ‘Chee Cheong Kai’, which means starch factory street, with reference to its roots as a tapioca-producing district. Chinatown is a well-known daily flea market selling all sorts of stuff from Chinese herbs and street food to imitation goods, clothes, electronics, perfumes and CDs. Tourists looking to have a taste of the real Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur can sample the famous salted dry duck, beef ball soup, Wantan Mee, Hokkien Mee and endless types of noodles. At night, Petaling Street transforms into a lively and vibrant night market, filled with hundreds of stalls offering all kinds of goods at dirt-cheap prices, and the best thing is, the prices can be brought lower still as haggling is the way of life there.

Travel to the Hilton Kuala Lumpur hotel only takes 28 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and 33 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 via direct high-speed train (KLIA Ekspres) as the KLIA Ekspres takes you right to KL Sentral, where the hotel is situated right next to.
